The Investigating and Scaling Computing Integrated Teacher Education (InSCITE) Research-Practice Partnership is a study that is part of the CITE initiative at CUNY. Please scroll to the bottom and sign the consent form to participate!

The purpose of the consent form is to give you the information you will need to help you decide whether to participate in the study. Please read the form carefully. You may ask questions about the purpose of the research, what we would ask you to do, the possible risks and benefits, your rights as a volunteer, and anything else about the research or this form that is not clear. When we have answered all your questions, you can decide if you want to be in the study or not. This process is called informed consent.

Purpose of the Study

There is a growing need to prepare pre-service teachers to equitably and meaningfully integrate computing and digital literacies into their teaching practice. Yet, little is known about how higher education institutions engage in strategic planning towards cross-institutional computing-integrated education efforts. Specifically, this study asks what work do faculty and staff in higher education institutions perform to design and scale computing-integrated teacher education initiatives? What challenges are faced along the way, and what strategies and resources are leveraged to meet these challenges? Answers to these questions can help inform other institutions pursuing coherent systems-level change around computing-integrated teacher education.
